You are welcome to your opinion, but it has already been agreed upon
that all job postings to the list must be Linux and/or Open Source
related. The only exception to that rule are postings by regular
contributing members who are hoping to attract talent based on their
reputation already established on the list. That exception applies to
regular members only, and not to recruiters.
Note: The exception I mention has not been previously stated, but is
true in practice, IMHO.
Also, if I may ask, if this list isn't exclusively Linux Open Source,
what is it? Yes, there is the occasional off topic post, but what
un-moderated doesn't experience that from time to time?

Yes, but this isn't the "world," this is the Linux Users of Northern
Illinois mailing list. There are plenty of lists out there where other
discussion is appropriate.

Saying what I said is only enforcing the agreed upon criteria for the
list. Criteria which Doug Pratt has previously agreed to, and has chosen
to ignore after said agreement. I find such behavior to be highly
offensive and disrespectful to the community.
As for the world running on money, this is very true. There is also a
lot of money to be made in Linux/Open Source, you just have to know how
and where to find it.

Yes, I know. The smart ones work with FreeBSD. ;-> (*ducks*)
