I had looked at the Hauppauge cards about a year ago or so, but I think they 
were a bit more expensive at the time.  If there's nothing else that would 
work, I suppose I can get the one you linked and free up a PCI slot.  

At one point, I was thinking about making my own dedicated DVR with a 
Hauppauge card and MythTV, but I never got around to doing it.
