[LUNI] Ever heard of SimplyMEPIS Linux?

I thought I already covered this a while ago in my initial post.....

it's the first thing I do.. but (when I tried it a few versions back)

Ubuntu would get confused.. so some things would take the "root"
password, but a lot of services, mostly the gui administration still
wants the main user you created.

Anyhoo...  this thread has taken a nice tangent and is beat to
death... use what you're comfortable with in the end you're the
admin... you have to deal with its quirks.
