The equipment price is high (I guess) and is specific to their network. I checked a few years back and that was the issue for me. If I was going to spend that much, I wanted it to be interchangable with other providers (Ha Ha, yea sure).
So I stayed with dial-up until they built in this area.
Say, does Sprint have some sort of nation wide network?

I'm sure it's high latency but where our cabin is in Missouri it's our only 
option.
