Subject: RE: [LUNI] Linux Retailers, Distro
Trying to get into Linux again (after having many attempts over the past 12
years) I wasn't asking to defend, but looking for pro/cons that affect your
choice to formulate why I may want to stay with SUSE or look at other
options.
The older I get and the less time I have on this earth, the less I want to
be spending my time "experimenting" as I used to when I was younger.
Recognizing the potential religious implications of the question, let it be
known I'm an atheist who looks towards rational reasoning.

PCLinuxOS (www.pclinuxos.com) distro is targeted for the Desktop and worth consideration.
I have installed PCLinuxOS v.94 and found it usable although the developer of the distro
himself claims the it is not yet ready for final release.
It boots as a Live CD and you can install it on hard disk as root user. It detected all the
hardware on my laptop flawlessly, and the default fonts/size of the applications are readable
w/o going into preferences/configuration.
My 2 cents.
