Gee, and here I thought that my old KayPro 16 was the first "laptop" (yeah, big lap!) computer. I do believe though, that it was the first with a built-in hard drive.

I have an Epson HX 20, arguably the first laptop computer. I'm moving
and looking to give it away as I can finally admit I never played with
it like I thought I would.
It looks like the pics on this page -- yes, with the built-in thermal
printer: http://oldcomputers.net/hx-20.html I'll also be giving away the
manuals and a couple programs on tape. The machine worked fine a couple
years ago and I loaded the blackjack program, but I haven't turned it on
since.
The HX-20 and toys are totally free if you can come pick them up here in
Lakeview, about 3500 N. Broadway, by Monday at the latest -- after that
I'm moved and I'll probably just toss it. Mail me offlist if you're
interested, first-come gets it.
