I'm not gonna do the top-posting is the mark of a lazy, stupid git
thing, 'cause it's not really true anyway.  But leaving the crap to
pile up like that is hard to interpret as anything but disrespect for
the audience.

PS: make uninstall will usually undo what install did.  If you gave the
original build/install any options, you might need to do so for
uninstall as well so it knows where to go for everything.  But probably
not, since that stuff is normally handled in the config.  You did issue
uninstall from the same, configured tree as was used for install?
