One of my clients has an urgent need for a Linux Systems Administrator
who will focus on operational support of their production application
environments.  

 

Salary: $80,000 (salary commensurate with experience)  

 

Key Responsibilities include:

*         Installing, configuring, and supporting production Linux-based
servers.

*         Extending existing systems monitoring and notification
platform.  

 

Experience:

*         At least 3-5 years of UNIX/Linux systems administration
experience.

*         Scripting experience (Python, Perl, or Shell)

*         Experience in troubleshooting and responding to service
outages.

*         Support experience with Postfix, Bind, Apache Tomcat

 

Desired Experience (but not mandatory):

*         Windows 2003 R2 (x64 and x86) Server Domain Environment

*         Windows Exchange 2007 Server

*         Symantec Backup Exec 11d rollout to backup network servers,
email server, and Linux servers

*         Symantec Ghost 2.0 for Laptop and Desktop

*         Trend Micro Antivirus Services

*         Active Directory User Account standards

*         Has designed and implemented Login Scripts for users

*         Implemented Microsoft DNS switch from DNS Bind

*         VPN issues for connectivity
