According to this article (

to get 34 channels of analog goodness... has that been your experience?

I would probably also choose not rent a digital box and upgrade to digital
service - if this rolls out to my suburb, all it will do is drive me to
watch less TV as my choices dwindle.  My alternative would probably be to
continue using my DVR (Freevo) to record the channels that I still get in
analog and rent more DVDs through netflix.
