[LUNI] Oh the "good old days"

I was going through some old papers yesterday and came across an invoice
for a CD-ROM drive that I bought back in April '93.  This was a 2x (or
maybe a 4x, I don't recall) internal drive I bought from DC Drives (DC
stood for Dirt Cheap, a relative term in this case) in Houston.

Toshiba T3401I16 200mS drive with SCSI controller card    $619.00
(no such thing as IDE CD's then)

In all fairness, the UltraStore ULTRA14F was $195.00 by itself

Keep in mind this is a reader only.  IIRC, I bought an HP writer a
couple of years later for about $1000.
