[LUNI] Can anyone help me get xubuntu installed?

As you were running the system fine previously, and
assuming that you used the same exact disk as you had
previously used to successfully install, it may just
be possible that there is something wrong with your
system itself, either in the form of a bad CD drive or
possibly a CPU or RAM that is on its way out. Have you
tried using this media to install on another machine
to really prove its integrity? If that works, then I
would be looking at your hardware.
Also, have you tried another distro?
Have you updated the system's BIOS since the original,
successful install?
