so i stopped by Tiger Direct and picked up a Linksys Cable Modem for
about $70.  there was a Motorola a bit cheaper, but i have other
Linksys gear and have been happy with them.  and now my routers can
stack with the modem.
so if my current Motorola CM doesn't work with WOW i have a backup.
