Hey Richard,
There's two things I can think of suggesting to increase the speed ..
1. Call sbc and have them make sure you are getting the correct speed
as per your contract. (That worked for me a while back)
2. If you are getting a delay resolving pages in the first place,
switch to an alternative dns. (I am trying out opendns at the moment and
they are much quicker)
Also, with the price, if you are out of contract and don't mind renewing
for a couple of years, then you can get the price back down to the
current promo. You shouldn't be paying more than $19, but I spoke to
someone last night that is paying $24 because they missed the letter
that advised them of the price increase if they didn't renew their contract.
