[LUNI] Trouble with broadcom wireless 4311 in Ubuntu 7.10

I really hope this is not a wide spread practice. Talking with their
tech support a year or so back the impression they gave me was this was
standard on all "consumer grade" (non-business) HP laptops. Hopefully
they stopped this and it was isolated to the HP side. I just thought I
should mention it before the OP considers buying a wifi card for the
laptop.
