According to the latest Microcenter add, their $379 laptop has Intel 
video (which currently has the best Linux driver support) and InviLink 
wireless (I believe it uses an Atheros chipset, which has open source 
drivers available on the Ubuntu disk).
I just bought it.  Does anyone know if there is any danger in installing Ubuntu straight away on the first boot.  The instructions say that the Windows XP innitial setup will take 30 min. and that I should complete it to make sure that the machine si working properly?  Is this really nec. since I'm going to blow away Windows?
