The only thing I could think of, and probably the
reason behind the warning is, if there is some sort of
hardware gremlin, and you've blown away Windows to
image it with Linux, you open yourself up for the
"blame game." You've got almost four bills invested.
If you feel confident enough in the hardware, then by
all means, throw caution to the wind and load Ubuntu
straight up. If you live by Murphy's Law, then you
might want to choose the side of caution and let it
load Windows first.
