[LUNI] Broadband router question.

We just got a t-1 line here at our office and I was wondering if someone could provide me with some guidance as to what I need to do configure are Linksys wireless router (WRT54G).  Right now our router is hooked up to our soon to be obsolete DSL modem.  I know  I need to unplug it from the DSL modem and plug it into the T1-router in the phone closet.  However, is there more configuring I need to do besides that?  The tech thought I would need to assign a static IP to the wireless router --which I have no clue how to do -- so that it could talk to the T1 router?   Can anyone advise how to proceed?
