some hosting companies offer to copy over the site from the "other" 
service provider.  

Is your current web site powered by a CMS engine like Drupal/Jhoomla 
etc.?

Before you undertake manual steps, ask the tech support of your new web 
hosting company.  With the market so crowded, I am sure they have a 
solution for your needs.
