[LUNI] gChrome and fonts

Hi,

I'm running on XP, and I bring this up because I've noticed the same
thing on every Linux dist and install I've ever run, and had always
thought it was a Linux deficiency.

Fonts, on the web always seem light or washed out.  Now I notice the
same thing in gChrome.  When I go to my gmail account and compare side
by side IE vs gChrome, Chrome is noticeably lighter or washed out, and
harder to read.

Anyone have any idea why this is?  I think if I know, I could fix it
on my Ubuntu too.
