Zdnet (through PC mag oped writer John Dvorak) are the same ones that said
that Windows ME was a must have, Until about two weeks after release when
they conveniently forgot how much gushing they had done. Zdnet became a tool
of their advertisers a long time ago. Vista was nothing more than a Beta.
You still need some serious hardware hardware to run it (they may not still
be around but Tiger Direct was pushing a lot of HP boxes that were
"downgraded" from Vista to XP. They were even throwing in the Vista disks if
your masochism quotient needed boosting.

Subject: [LUNI] Nobody has commented on ZDNET's linux demise article?

ZDNet is predicting WIndows 7 will push Linux pretty much off the desktop?

Or is this an old story that I missed when it first came out?
