Hi,
I was using PuTTY in a class I am teaching and one student was concerned
about the legal issue with US export of encryption technology.
I asked the students with windows PCs to download putty.exe from
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html<http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/%7Esgtatham/putty/download.html>
for ssh access to some accounts I created at sdf-eu.org.
I am quite sure downloading and using in US in not an issue. Maybe the
following could be:
1. Making PuTTY available on a webserver in the US
2. Emailing it outside the US
3. Having it on a PC and taking outside the US.
I note Mac OS X supports ssh command.
Any comments?
Part of the class objective is to learn basic bash commands like ls, pwd, cd
chmod etc.
Regards,
John Bundy
