I have used omnis.com for many years now.
$80 per year linux based hosting with unlimited accounts and mailbox sizes.

Fast email servers and extremely reliable for hosted email.
imap works well with evolution, and thunderbird
Their webmail solution continually provides a choice of squirrelmail, 
horde or roundcube.
